Northeastern Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association Presents:
Course Description: This course will cover the importance of using effective communication with patients for better case acceptance and improved care. Dr. Beech will share his commitment to what he calls the six cornerstones of sustained professional growth. Continuing education, key staff member addition, new technology for improved communication, dental consultant input and mentoring, practice promotion, and continual facility improvements and expansion. All six cornerstones are utilized in the creation and implementation of the hygiene program at Great Lakes Dental.
Course Instructor: Dr. Ronald Beech, DDS is a 1984 graduate of Case Western Reserve Dental School. Dr. Beech founded a private practice in Mentor in 1985 and has guided its growth from a staff of two, to its present-day staff of twenty-three.

Cleveland Dental Hygienists’ Association Presents:
The New Staging and Grading of Periodontal Disease
Course Description: The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) developed new guidelines in November 2017 for staging and grading periodontitis. This course will discuss criteria for staging and grading to determine the extent of disease and the risk of disease progression. The course will review case studies to gain an understanding of diagnosis and treatment planning using the new AAP staging and grading classification system. Course participants will be provided handouts including the PowerPoint lecture and laminated AAP staging and grading charts for chairside applications.
