SYSTEMIC HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS FOR PATIENTS WITH COMPLEX MEDICAL ISSUES
UPDATES IN PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
Northeastern Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association
American Dental Association
Dentists and dental hygienists are confronted with an increasing number of medically compromised patients who require comprehensive care for their oral rehabilitation. The course aims to present the clinician with guidelines for pre- and post-operative management of patients with multiple medical issues. Optimizing health and appreciating the modalities available to facilitate safe, efficient dental care increase the odds of successful treatment in this patient category.
In addition, this presentation provides an update in pediatric dentistry. A review of modern techniques in pulp therapy, space maintenance, behavior guidance, stainless steel crowns, cosmetic crowns, and pediatric practice management will be discussed.
